Small to medium sized businesses across the region are set to receive a financial boost early next year.
The “Increased Cost of Business” scheme will be rolled out in the first part of 2024, at a cost of 250 million euro to the Government.
This scheme targets businesses on a smaller scale that have paid less than 20 thousand euro in commercial rates. The businesses in question can receive a one-off payment of up to ten thousand euro.
Speaking to Ocean FM News, Councillor Enda McGloin described the rollout of the scheme as a welcome development.
