Easkey’s hurlers produced a performance of determination and maturity to edge past Ballinasloe of Galway at the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence, and retain their provincial junior club hurling title on a final scoreline of 1-18 to 2-12.
It was a deserved victory for the west Sligo side although they had goalkeeper Jimmy Gordon to thank at the end as he denied Ballinasloe an equalising goal in the closing moments of the game.
