Disappointing Dromahair meeting was “not inclusive”- Kenny



A Sligo-Leitrim TD, has expressed his disappointment that last night’s meeting between the Concerned Residents Group in Dromahair and a Community Engagement team was not inclusive.

Sligo-Leitrim TD Martin Kenny along with Deputies Frank Feighan and Marian Harkin set up last nights meeting between the interested stake holders and the community team ahead of the possible arrival of refugees to the Abbey manor Hotel.

The meeting was told that no refugees would be arriving to the village of Dromahair before planning issue with the proposed facility where the those arriving were due to be accommodated.

The Sinn Féin TD says it’s disappointing that meeting was not inclusive to all groups however he’s happy that the process of discussions has started.
