Anger is said to be palpable in the Ballymote area over a proposed link road for the town.
The route, proposed within the Town Plan would run through the Castleburn and Earls Court Housing estates connecting to the Primary Care Health Centre.
However it’s thought if it were to proceed, it would have serious road safety implications for both estates which are fully occupied many with young families.
It’s also been claimed that residents were not consulted as part of the plans.
