Leitrim produced a rousing comeback in the closing quarter of Friday evening’s Connacht FBD semi-final at the Air Dome which just fell short as Galway held on to win by four points, on a final score of 2-18 to 1-17.
Barry McNulty’s flicked goal deep in added time brought Leitrim level in the dying moments – but Galway went straight down the other end to score 1-1 and secure a place in next Friday evening’s final.
