A Status Yellow warning has been issued for the counties of Sligo, Leitrim, Donegal and Mayo.
The notice from Met Eireann is warning of low temperatures and the danger of icy patches and some freezing fog patches locally also.
There is also the possibility of a few sleet or snow showers in places.
The warning is valid under 11 am this morning.
Meanwhile a separate Snow-Ice warning has been issued for Donegal.
Scattered wintry showers will give way to more widespread sleet or snow for a time overnight with the potential for small accumulations.
This warning come into effect at 6 p.m. this evening and will remain in place until 11 am tomorrow.
