It's emerged that a woman, who was murdered in England earlier this week, is reportedly from Sligo.
Police were called to a house in Coventry on Wednesday evening last and discovered the body of a woman with serious stab wounds.

She has not yet been formally identified, but is believed to be 50-year-old Pauline Sweeney, originally from Sligo.
A man has since been charged with her murder - police believe he was the partner of the late Ms. Sweeney.

The 57-year-old appeared before Coventry Magistrates' Court earlier today.
