Mayor of Donegal Town, Pauric Kennedy has confirmed that he will run in the upcoming local elections.
Kennedy, who has been mayor since 2019, is set to run as an Independent Candidate.
In a statement issued this morning, Kennedy outlined the many projects that he has been involved in locally, including the St Patrick’s Day parade, the improvements on the pier, the footpath and ground works on the Killymard road, the drainage and resurfacing of the Abbey Vocational School GAA pitch, many community clean ups, and more recently the 550 years celebrations which are ongoing.
He says that he made the decision to put his name forward following a lot of positive encouragement from family and many members of the community.
