Sligo Rovers have now gone five matches without a win in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division following Friday night’s 3-1 loss to Drogheda United at Weavers Park.
Will Fitzgerald gave Rovers an early lead with a well-taken goal but Drogheda equalised later in the opening half.

Disappointingly, Rovers failed to up their game in the second 45 as Drogheda largely controlled proceedings.
Franz Pierrott’s penalty put them 2-1 up before substitute Aaron McNally added a third in the closing stages.
Rovers have now taken just two points from a possible 15 in their last five matches.
