The Rescue 118 helicopter was tasked from Sligo yesterday to assist a student on Croagh Patrick.
The student, who was descending the summit cone with a school group, fell and sustained a head injury on their way down.
The full Mayo Mountain Rescue team were tasked, and required assistance from Rescue 118.
The helicopter quickly located the student and issued treatment. They were then winched up and taken to Mayo University Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
