Sligo made a winning start to the Tailteann Cup on Saturday at Markievicz Park with a 2-21 to 2-15 win over Wexford.
In a highly enteraining a free-scoring contest, Sligo trailed by a point, 1-8 to 1-7 at half-time – but they upped the gears in the second with the impressive Alan McLoughlin (pictured) contributing 1-4 and Sean Carrabine 0-6 as they eventually secured a six-point win.
