Fergus McGroary appointed Donegal Crime Prevention Officer



Sergeant Fergus McGroary has been appointed as the new Donegal Garda Divsional Crime Prevention Officer.

 

Mr.McGroary, a native of Lettterbarrow succeeds the recently retired Sergeant Paul Wallace who had served the role since 2002.

 

Crime Prevention Officers are trained to promote and advise crime prevention techniques in both private and public areas.

 

Mr. McGroary has been Sergeant in charge of Milford Garda Station for the past eleven years.

 

He has previously served in An Bun Beg, Glenties, Carrick and Letterkenny during his career with An Garda Síochána.

 

He will be based in Letterkenny Garda Station as part of his new role.
