Efforts ongoing on phased opening of Ballyshannon Community Hospital

The HSE has given reassurances that efforts are ongoing as it relates to the phased opening of Ballyshannon Community Hospital.

The local HSE Management Team are said to be working towards the next phase of opening additional beds within the hospital.

The HSE says that it’s planned that additional beds will become operational by the end of July subject to the successful recruitment of staff.

It follows questions raised yesterday by local Sinn Fein Cllr Michael McMahon over delays in the provision of long-stay beds being made available.
