Only six new Gardaí are to be allocated to the North West region.
It’s the fourth consecutive time the North West has been allocated the lowest number of new Gardaí.
Of the 157 members passing out of Templemore, 102 have been allocated to the Dublin region, 38 to the East, and 11 to the Southern Region.
686 Gardaí have passed out of Templemore since July 2023, and only 50 of those have been allocated to the North West region.
