A woman aged in her 50’s has died following a farm-related incident in south Sligo on Saturday evening.
Gardaí and emergency services were called to the scene at Clooncose shortly after 4.20pm.
The woman had been seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle while loading turf onto a trailer.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The scene is currently preserved for examination by Garda Forensic Investigators.
The deceased woman’s remains have been removed to the mortuary at Sligo University Hospital. The local coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will be arranged.
