Government under fire over closure one of Donegal’s top tourist attractions



The Government has come under fire after one of Donegal’s top tourist attractions has been deemed inaccessible to the general public.

 

It’s understood that the castle at Glenveagh National Park has been closed on numerous occasions recently due to staff shortages.

 

It has resulted in a significant number of tourists left disappointed.

 

Councillor Michael Cholm Mac Giolla Easbuig has written to the Minister of State at the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, Malcolm Noonan seeking urgent clarity on the matter.

 

He says it’s totally unacceptable for the amenity to be closed at the height of summer:
