A man has died after falling on Benbullben walk last night.
The alarm was raised at around 10pm.
A major emergency operation was launched including Sligo Leitrim Mountain Rescue, Rescue 118, Gardai and the coastguard.
Gardai have confirmed that the man, who was in his 40s, died at the scene.
His body has been taken to Sligo University Hospital where a post mortem will take place.
The local coroner has been notified and an investigation into his death is ongoing.
