Four Sligo surfers representing Ireland at Junior Eurosurf Championships

Sligo will be well represented at this year’s Junior Eurosurf Championships in Portugal.

Páraic McSharry, Oscar Choo and the Murphy brothers, Tom and Rory, have all been called up to represent Ireland at the upcoming surfing tournament.

All four are members of the Donegal Bay Boardriders club.

They are part of a 12-strong panel, with six boys and six girls on the Irish teams this year.

Páraic McSharry from Streedagh and Rory Murphy from Cliffoney will represent Ireland in the U16 category, while Oscar Choo of Strandhill and Tom Murphy, will surf for the U18s.

The tournament will also be covered by RTÉ, as part of an 8-part documentary that will be released later on this year.

The Eurosurf Junior Championships will run from July 18th to July 26th in Santa Cruz in Portugal.
