Record-breaking run for Keelan Kilrehill at Morton Games



Dromore West’s Keelan Kilrehill broke a county Sligo record for the 5000 metres on Saturday afternoon at The Morton Games.

His personal best time of 13.53.03 surpasses the previous record of 13.56 set by Mark Smyth of North Sligo AC.

Kilrehill, who runs out Moy Valley Athletic Club in Ballina has set a number personal bests in 2024 including in the 3000m and 5000m short track, as well as the 10,000 metres.

Saturday’s race was won by Amos Langat of Kenya in a time of 13.12.44.
