Non-profit organisations in Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal are all recipients of funding to assist in the operation of their services.
€10,000 has been awarded to The Model Arts and Niland Gallery in Sligo, €40,000 in Donegal goes to the Spraoi agus Spórt Family Centre in Carndonagh and Liquid Therapy in Ballyshannon, and an undisclosed amount has been granted to North Leitrim Women’s Resource Group in Manorhamilton.
The Ireland Funds Heart of the Community Fund awards a total of €930,000 to 93 community and voluntary organisations nationwide this year.
Caitriona Fottrell, President & CEO of The Ireland Funds, said: “We recognise the significant challenges organisations face, especially in meeting core and operational costs. It is our aim that the Heart of the Community Fund fuels organisations to continue their essential work within communities.”
