Donegal TEN-T Project gets cabinet approval to move to planning stage

Cabinet has given approval for the Donegal TEN-T Priority Route Improvement Project to move to the planning stage.

The project looks to address critical transport deficiencies along three targeted sections- the Ballybofey-Stranorlar bypass, Letterkenny to Manorcunningham and Manorcunnuingham to Lifford, linking the A5 in Strabane.

Donegal TD and Minister for Agriculture Charlie McConalogue says the three sections are being progressed as a single project due to the significant overlap among environmental, appraisal, and cumulative assessments.

Minister McConalogue says the works will have wide-ranging benefits for not only Donegal but the wider north west region.
