Liquidator appointed to Wild Roots Festival company

It’s been confirmed that those who bought tickets for this year’s Wild Roots music festival in Sligo will not be refunded by the festival organisers.

Due to take place over the June Bank Holiday weekend, the 2024 edition of the festival was cancelled a week before it was due to take place.

Mulhern Leonard and Associates, Chartered Accountants have been appointed liquidator of NOC Shop Limited trading as Wild Roots Music and Adventure Festival and have sent a letter to ticket purchasers.

In the letter, they state that NOC Shop Limited is not in a financial position to reimburse purchasers, but they may be entitled to a refund due from their debit or credit card provider.

They conclude by saying according to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, if you used a credit or debit card to purchase your ticket (s), your card provider may agree to reverse the transaction and you should contact your card provider immediately in this regard.
