For the second consecutive Olympics, Sligo’s Mona McSharry has qualified for the women’s 100 metres breaststroke final.
The Grange woman finished second in her semi-final and broke her own Irish record in a time of 1:05.51 seconds.

McSharry qualifies second fastest overall behind Tatjana Smith (South Africa),l which should ensure a good lane draw for the final
The final is on Monday evening at 8:25pm Irish time.
The 23-year-old was a finalist in the same Olympic event in Tokyo in 2021, where she finished eighth.
