Overcrowding issues persist at Sligo University Hospital



Sligo University Hospital is once again, the second most overcrowded hospital in Ireland today.

 

According to the latest figures from the INMO Trolley Watch figures, there were 48 patients without a bed at the facility, only behind University Hospital Limerick on 92 as of this morning

 

Meanwhile, there were 20 patients on trolleys in Letterkenny University Hospital.

 

Nationally, of the 427 patients waiting for beds this morning, 294 were in the emergency department, with 133 in wards elsewhere in the hospitals.
