Rescue 118 tasked to incident on Croagh Patrick



The Sligo-based coast guard helicopter Rescue 118 was tasked to a major incident at Croagh Patrick on Tuesday evening.

 

A casualty suffered a cardiac arrest on the summit of the mountain.

 

It’s understood the defibrillator located in the peak’s church was used and CPR was administered to the casualty.

 

Subsequently, the patient was airlifted by Rescue 118 to Mayo University Hospital in Castlebar for further treatment.
