It’s been confirmed that an investigation into the deaths of over one thousand salmon in Ballisodare River is nearing conclusion.
Inland Fisheries Ireland say that it is finalising a review of the incident, and will release related findings in due course.
There have been no new recorded mortalities at the site since July 20th.
All fishing on the Ballisodare system remains suspended, pending the outcome of detailed statutory inquiries into the matter.
