Team Ireland looking to secure gold medal at Olympics today



Team Ireland will be looking to secure a gold medal at the Olympics this morning.

 

Skibbereen rowers Paul O’Donovan and Fintan McCarthy will take to the water after 11am in the lightweight men’s double sculls.

 

Ireland has secured 4 medals so far – Bronze for Sligo’s Mona McSharry and rowers Philip Doyle and Daire Lynch, gold for Daniel Wiffen and at least a bronze for boxer Kellie Harrington.
