The Ballintra Races have been cancelled.
Organisers say that it’s in the interest of health & safety due to a waterlogged course.
The event had been a yearly highlight of the holiday season on the August Bank Holiday Monday and had been due to return today after a five year absence.
Organisers have expressed their disappointment and have apologised for any inconvenience caused.
