Victim of Sligo crash named locally



The victim of yesterday’s fatal crash near Drumcliffe has been named locally.

 

28 year old James McNeive who was from Knock in Co Mayo, died after the van he was driving was involved in a collision with a lorry yesterday morning.

 

The lorry driver was taken to Sligo University Hospital for treatment.

 

His injuries are not life-threatening.

 

The road reopened last night following an examination by Garda forensic collision investigators.

 

Gardai are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward.
