Urgent clarity is being sought over the future of the iconic Tin Shop outside Donegal Town.
It emerged over the weekend that plans have been lodged to demolish the former shop premises which is located on the Donegal Town side of Barnesmore Gap.
The structure is over 100 years old and is said to be steeped in history.
The shop itself closed in 2006 and is said to have fallen into a state of disrepair.
Mayor of Donegal Town Pauric Kennedy believes that efforts should be made to save the building in some shape of form:
