There was disappointment for Donegal’s Mark English in Friday morning’s semi-finals of the men’s 800 metres at the Paris Olympics.
English ran bravely in the first of three semi-final heats and led coming into the finishing straight.
However, he was eventually run out the qualification places, finishing sixth out of eight runners.
