James McNeive ‘brought joy to many lives’, funeral hears

The late James McNeive has been remembered for his kind nature at his funeral mass this afternoon.

Mr. McNeive passed away after the van he was driving collided with a lorry on the N15 in north Sligo last Sunday morning.

A primary school teacher, he was a prominent member of his local community and held a number of roles at his local GAA club, Aghamore GAA.

Speaking during the homily at the funeral mass at the Church of St. John the Baptist in Knock, chief celebrant Fr. Richard Gibbons said James brought joy to many people’s lives.
