A significant number of homes across the North West are without power this morning.
Heavy showers of rain, as well as lots of thunder and lightning, resulted in lots of power cuts across the region this morning.
The ESB are currently working to restore power in the areas affected.
A status yellow rain and thunderstorm warning has been lifted by Met Eireann, however motorists are still being advised to take care on the roads because of heavy overnight rain and the risk of damage caused by lightning.
