National Heritage week kicks off across the country this weekend, with over 2,000
events taking place nationwide. Including many free, exciting events throughout
Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal.
Local Heritage groups, organisers, families, communities and individuals across
Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal have responded to this year’s theme of “Connections,
Routes and Networks”.
A nighttime bat safari in Stranorlar, Hand spinning at the Organic centre in Sraud,
and and a walking tour of the box tombs in Skreen are among the free events taking
place locally with something to suit everybody.
