Sligo Rovers rooted to bottom of table after Treaty loss

Sligo Rovers women are still waiting for their first league win of the 2024 League of Ireland season following Sunday’s 2-1 home defeat to Treaty United.

Keeva Flynn’s second-half header gave Rovers fresh hope in the closing quarter but, while they pushed hard for an equaliser, their Limerick opponents held firm to take all three points.

Rovers manager Tommy Hewitt, who was serving a touchline ban after receiving a red card during the Athlone Town game last weekend, cut a frustrated figure when he spoke to Ocean FM Sport’s Odhrán Keating after Sunday’s encounter.

Sunday’s women’s LOI result:
Sligo Rovers 1 Treaty Utd 2
