St Mary’s made an impressive start to their Sligo Homeland SFC campaign on Sunday with a 1-15 to 0-8 win over Tourlestrane in their opening Group 2 fixture, played in Keash.
Eli Rooney supplied eight points on the day – and the overall Mary’s team performance impressed manager Mark Breheny.
In Sunday evening’s Group 1 fixture, a Mikey Gordon point gave Easkey a narrow 0-9 to 0-8 victory over Calry/St Joseph’s in Castleconnor.
