North West well represented in this year’s Rose of Tralee



The north west is well represented in this year’s Rose of Tralee which begins tonight.

 

The famed festival, which takes place every year will see 32 women representing rose centres on stage throughout the next two days.

 

Megan McCormack from Gurteen will represent Sligo in this year’s Rose of Tralee competition.

 

Carrick-on-Shannon native Shauna Murtagh is the Leitrim representative while Glenswilly’s Niamh Shevlin is the Donegal rose.

 

This year’s competition, presented by Dáithí Ó Sé and Katherine Thomas will be televised on RTÉ television from 8pm.
