Marine weather warnings have been issued for the north west coast for today and tomorrow.
Force 8 gales and tidal surges are forecasted as the remnants of Hurricane Ernesto reach Ireland.
Met Eireann is warning that combined with exceptional Spring tides this will mean dangerous sea conditions along the coast.
Members of the public are urged to take great care along the coast for the next few days especially at high tide.
