Sligo’s Brian Colsh competes in World Rowing semi-final

Ballymote’s Brian Colsh will compete for Ireland alongside crew-mate Adam Murphy (Cork) in the semi-final of the men’s double sculls at the World U23 Rowing Championships in Canada on Wednesday evening.

Colsh, who’s won this event 12 months ago alongside Belfast rower Konan Pazzaia, will be in action at 7:30pm Irish time.

The Irish boat won their first round heat on Sunday last – and have been given a favourable lane draw (Lane 4) in Wednesday’s first semi-final.

The first three boats will qualify for the A’ final.

The senior, U23 and junior World Rowing Championships are all taking place at the same venue this week, St Catharine’s, in Canada.

Competition was cancelled on Monday of this week because of adverse weather conditions.

You can watch Brian’s race live on Wednesday evening from 7:30pm via the YouTube link below.
