Sligo’s Brian Colsh reaches World Rowing final



Ballymote’s Brian Colsh and rowing partner Adam Murphy (Cork) are through to men’s double sculls finals at the World Under-23 Rowing Championships in Canada after an impressive performance in Wednesday evening’s semi-final.

The Irish crew finished second behind Australia in their semi in a time of 6:53.27 to comfortable qualify for the final.

Colsh was a gold medal winner in this event for Ireland alongside Belfast’s Konan Pazzaia 12 months ago – and is back to try and retain his World U23 title.

The final will take place on Friday evening at 7:42pm Irish time with the Irish boat drawn in lane 5.
