Relief has been expressed across Maugherow following the rescue of Sasha Murray from a superyacht that capsized in Sicily on Monday.
Ms Murray (29) is from Maugherow, and was among those rescued when the yacht went down, having sustained an injury to her leg.
Search and rescue operations are continuing off the Italian coast today, as six people who were on the yacht are still missing.
Speaking to Ocean FM News this afternoon, locals in Maugherow have said they are thankful that Ms Murray is alive and well.
