Sligo senior men’s rugby team made a winning start to their new season on Friday night with a 21-17 win against Buccaneers in their opening Connacht Senior League game of the season.
Sligo tries from debutant Fintan Crawley, James O’Hehir and an intercept try from Archie McLean gave the holders the perfect start to the new season.
Paddy Pearson’s side completed a Connacht Senior League and Cup double last season.
