Sligo Leitrim Mountain Rescue has confirmed that they had to stretcher a casualty off Knocknarea Mountain during the Annual Warriors Run at the weekend.
Sligo Civil Defence has already issued a statement, highlighting a number of casualties on Saturday, some of which were serious, needing further treatment at Sligo University Hospital.
The weather during the days before and on the day were said to have made conditions on the mountain very treacherous.
Sligo Leitrim Mountain Rescue assisted a few participants who had a few minor cuts and scrapes while another casualty was also walked off the mountain.
However one casualty had to be brought down by stretcher by the team.
SLMT has also congratulated everyone who took part on the day.
