Seamus Coleman in Ireland squad for England & Greece games

Seamus Coleman has been named the first Republic of Ireland squad to be picked by new international head coach Heimir Hallgrímsson, for the upcoming Nations League matches against England and Greece.

Coleman, who played for his club Everton in this week’s English League Cup win over Doncaster Rovers, is included in a 35-strong squad for games against England at the Avivia Stadium on Saturday week, September 7th, and another home fixture against Greece four days later.

Evan Ferguson, who’s had a tough time of it in recent months between injury and loss of form, is back in.

There’s a first call-up for Leicester City winger Kasey McAteer who has completed his paperwork and received international clearance from FIFA.

He made his premier league debut for Leicester earlier this month.
