Assurances given that faulty generator at Cregg House to be fixed by weekend

Assurances have been given that a faulty generator that has been irritating residents in Cregg House will be repaired by the weekend.

Earlier this week, an electrical fault caused Cregg House to lose power, inconveniencing its residents.

A generator was installed to restore power, however, due to faulty parts, it has been making a lot of noise which has frustrated both residents of Cregg House and people living in the surrounding area in Ballincar.

There were long delays in getting the generator fixed as parts had to be sent from Italy, and a temporary muffler is being sought in an effort to cancel out some of the noise.

Local Fianna Fáil councillor, Donal Gilroy, says the matter should be resolved by the weekend.
