Friday’s North West Today was broadcast from the new headquarters Social Ground Force situated on the Mall in Sligo.
The premises in question was formally known as Kilgallen’s Bar.
This was an emotional week for the family as the name ‘Kilgallen’ was taken down from over the door yesterday.
Three generations of the family traded in the premises and there are family connections with the popular watering hole going back 150 years.
Peter Kilgallen was one of our guests on North West Today and spoke about the life of the publican has changed over the years.
