Glencar/Manor & Dromahair face relegation play-offs

The composition of the knockout stages and relegation play-offs  is now finalised in this year’s Leitrim Connacht Gold senior football championship following Saturday evening’s round 4 matches.

Glencar/Manorhamilton will be one of the four teams in the relegation play-offs following their 3-14 to 1-8 loss to Ballinamore Seán O’Heslin’s in Boggaun.

Dromahair already knew their fate, prior to Saturday’s 5-12 to 1-8 defeat against Fenagh/St Caillin’s.

Saturday’s Round 4 results
Glencar/Manorhamilton 1-8 Ballinamore SOH 3-14
Dromahair 1-8 Fenagh/St Caillin’s 5-12
Annaduff 4-8 Mohill (holders) 3-13
Aughawillian 1-15 Gortletteragh 1-9
St Mary’s 1-9 Leitrim Gaels 0-9

Three teams finished the group phase with four wins from four, but it’s Ballinamore and holders Mohill who progress directly to the county semi-finals.

The next four teams (3rd to 6th) contest two quarter-finals.

That sees the following quarter-final pairings:
St Mary’s v Leitrim Gaels
Aughawillan v Fenagh/St Caillin’s

The relegation semi-finals will be as follows:
Glencar/Manorhamilton v Gortletteragh
Annaduff v Dromahair.

With three teams set to be relegated to intermediate football next year, only the eventual relegation play-off winners will preserve their senior championship status for 2025.
