There’s hopes that the National Trail Conference can return to the North West again.
The conference, which was held over the weekend and ran until Tuesday in Leitrim, was the first of it’s kind to be held in Ireland.
A number of events took place throughout, showcasing what Ireland has to offer in terms of adventure tourism, and over 2,000 people attended over the course of four days.
Head of Strategy with the Leitrim Development Company, Brian Smith, is hopeful that Leitrim may host a similar event in future.
