A player in Leitrim took the title of newest National Lottery millionaire in Friday’s draw after scooping the €1 million amount in the special Ireland Only Raffle, in addition to the usual €5,000 Raffle prize.
Last night’s EuroMillions draw marked the start of a four-week run of special draws which promise to make four players across the month of September guaranteed millionaires.
Across four weekends this month, there will be one guaranteed winner of €1 million in the EuroMillions draws on each Friday.
The National Lottery is urging EuroMillions players in Leitrim to check their tickets very carefully today.
The winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and to keep it safe and they should contact the prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to collect their prize in Lotto HQ.
The National Lottery will announce the winning store location tomorrow, Sunday 8th September.
