Sligo senior men’s rugby team retained their Connacht Senior League title on Saturday afternoon with a 13-10 victory over Galway Corinthians at Hamilton Park in Strandhill.
The win completed a clean sweep of wins in this season’s Connacht Senior League – with Paddy Pearson’s side already having beaten Buccaneers and Galwegians in the previous rounds.
Sligo completed a Connacht Senior League and Cup double in 2023 – and three weeks into the new club seaason, they’ve already matched 50 per cent of that achievement.
It’s Sligo’s third Connacht Senior League title success since 2019.
